CEVICHEEEEE!

So last week I waited a long time in line to order some ceviche, only to be denied when I finally got to the register: "You can only order drinks here." I walked away dejectedly, Corona in hand, while visions of shrimp cocktails danced in my head.

I started looking up some recipes online and it seems ceviche is quite simple to make. I will need to make a run to the store however... for some:

-shrimp
-limes
-white onion
-roma tomatoes
-cucumbers
-cilantro (yum!)

We shall see how this endeavor turns out!

さてと。最近ねっとぶっくを買ったので、久しぶりにWindowsを使ってます。まあ、仕事でも少々PCに触ってるけど、あまり使い込む機会はないので。やっぱりウェブもマックから見た方がキレイだな。しょうがないか。

でも愛用のiMacはちょっと古くなりかけてるのでたまには休ませてあげようと思いました。

LUSH

この間、初めてLUSHに入ってみた。
前からショッピングモールに行くたびに
見かけてたんだけど、中がちょっと
ゴチャゴチャしてそうだったので、
入ろうと思わなかったけど
なぜか今回は違った。

中は予想通りゴチャゴチャ！
でもけっこう楽しい雰囲気だったかなぁ
店員さんが手と腕にスクラブやクリームを
塗ってくれて、１０分後には肌がスベスベ♪

それにつられてLEMONY FLUTTERを買ってみた。
夜寝る前につけるキューティクルクリーム
これでささくれにおさらば？
だといいなあ。

でも一番おもしろいと思ったのは、
つぼの底に貼ってあるレーベルに
作った人のカオとイニシャルがあった。
本当にハンドメードなんだね。

The other day I finally went into the Lush store at the mall. For some reason, the way it looked never appealed to me before so I'd always avoided it but for some reason I didn't this time...

It was actually pretty neat and I walked out with a pot of cuticle cream and I'd like to try a few more of their products. But I thought the best part was how there's a sticker on the bottom of the container with the initials and a drawing of the person who allegedly handmade it. haha!

And now I want to go listen to Lush (sadly another band I never got to see live. *sigh*). and, it's the weekend, hooray! (though I have to work tomorrow)

The SnB cabled armwarmers. I was wondering why the cable wasn't showing up, when lo & behold-- I was knitting inside-out! How did that happen? Working with DPNs is more complicated than working with circulars, I suppose.

I ♥ this yarn so I hope they turn out okay!

雑誌で見たアームウォーマーのパターンで作ってみた。
けっこう簡単に出来上がったけど
手のあたりのフィットがちょっとイマイチだなぁー。

次はNOROヤーンの「くれよん」を使った
ケーブル・アームウォーマーに
挑戦したいと思いまーす

I used a pattern (#13) that I found in the spring/summer issue of knit.1 magazine. It was relatively easy to knit because you don't have to
work a thumb gusset, but I'm not sure if I quite like how that looks.

I've been on an armwarmer kick lately so my next project is a pair of
cabled armwarmers from Stitch 'N Bitch Nation.
